Campaign Registration

Campaign registration explains how your business will text customers: the use case, opt-in path, sample messages, links, phone numbers, opt-out keywords, and help keywords.

Video to add

Record campaign setup using a generic service-reminder example and call out description, opt-in flow, samples, and keywords.

Before you begin

  • Complete business profile and brand registration first.
  • Write a real campaign description and consent flow before opening the form.
  • Prepare two to five realistic message samples.
  • Have privacy policy and terms URLs ready if messaging was enabled.

Where to find it

Go to Phone -> Trust Hub -> Campaign Setup, or complete the Messaging Setup step during onboarding.

Step-by-step

  1. Describe the campaign and what customers should expect.
  2. Explain how customers provide consent, including online, in-person, booking, or form language where applicable.
  3. Add two to five message samples that match actual texts your team sends.
  4. Indicate whether messages include embedded links or phone numbers.
  5. Configure opt-in, opt-out, and help keywords.
  6. Submit and wait for carrier review.

What happens next

  • Waveline requires enough detail in description, message flow, and samples before submission.
  • The UI references review windows of a few business days, but carrier review can vary.
  • Rejected campaigns should be corrected based on the reason shown, not resubmitted unchanged.

Best practices

  • Make samples specific to your business and use case.
  • Avoid public link shorteners and content unrelated to the registered purpose.
  • Explain consent clearly, including where customers see privacy and terms language.

Troubleshooting

  • If submission is blocked, fill required fields and meet minimum detail requirements.
  • If rejected, update opt-in language, samples, policy links, or business details based on the rejection reason.
  • If messages are filtered after approval, review content and recipient consent.
