Mobile Call Controls
The mobile active-call screen lets team members use Waveline like a work phone while away from a desk, with mute, hold, transfer, bridge, keypad, recording, audio device selection, and minimize controls.
Video to add
Record a live mobile demo that shows mute, hold, keypad, audio device switching, and a transfer flow.
Before you begin
- Install the mobile app and sign in.
- Grant microphone and notification permission.
- Confirm the user has a personal work inbox or is a member of the shared inbox they will call from or answer for.
Where to find it
Open the mobile app, go to the Phone area, then place or answer a call. Controls appear on the active-call screen after the call connects.
Step-by-step
- Use Mute when you need to silence your microphone.
- Use Hold to pause the caller, then Resume to return.
- Use Transfer for blind or consult-first transfers when available.
- Use Keypad for DTMF digits such as extensions or menu choices.
- Use Recording controls if recording is enabled for the call context.
- Use Audio Device to switch between speaker, earpiece, Bluetooth, or other available outputs.
- Minimize the call when you need to check another part of the app without ending the call.
What happens next
- The call remains tracked in Waveline while minimized.
- Hold, transfer, and recording state is reflected in the active-call UI as the call changes.
- Call history updates after the call ends and server-side processing completes.
Troubleshooting
- If controls are disabled, wait until the call is fully connected.
- If audio routes to the wrong device, use Audio Device and check operating-system Bluetooth settings.
- If a transfer fails, return to the original call and try another destination.
