Install the Apps
Use Waveline from the web app for setup and from the mobile app as a team member's work phone for calling, messaging, contacts, analytics, and on-the-go call controls.
Before you begin
- Finish sign-up and know your Waveline login.
- Allow microphone access on any device that will place or receive calls.
- Allow notifications if the device should ring for personal work calls, shared inbox calls, or messages.
Where to find it
Use the Waveline web app in your browser for the full dashboard. Install the iOS or Android app for mobile calling, messaging, contact sync, analytics, and active-call controls.
Step-by-step
- Sign in to the web app from a supported desktop browser.
- On mobile, install the Waveline app and sign in with the same account.
- Grant microphone permission when the app asks for it.
- Enable push notifications so inbound calls, missed calls, and messages can alert you.
- Open the Phone area and confirm your personal work inbox, shared inboxes, and assigned numbers are visible.
- Place a test call or send an internal team message to confirm the device is connected.
What happens next
- The web app is best for admin tasks such as numbers, inboxes, call flows, billing, roles, and Trust Hub.
- The mobile app is best for live calls, messages, dialer access, contacts, analytics, and active-call controls.
- Devices must stay signed in and connected to receive real-time updates.
Best practices
- Use one account per team member so call history, permissions, and assignments stay accurate.
- Keep the mobile app updated before relying on it for active calls.
- Test microphone and speaker output before your first work call.
Troubleshooting
- If calls do not ring, check notification settings, availability, inbox membership, and app connection status.
- If audio fails, re-grant microphone permission and restart the app.
- If inboxes are missing, ask an admin to confirm your personal inbox, shared inbox membership, and role permissions.
